Dancing Sustenance, Dancing Survival

A six month residency, October 2024-March 2025, at Homeboy Industries as a Neighborhood Engagement Artist Residency (NEAR) project funded by the City of Los Angeles, Cultural Affairs Department.

Dancing Sustenance is a six-month residency based in Homeboy Industries’ community education program with formerly incarcerated people amidst re-entry, centering on telling embodied stories of sustenance and survival, through dance, spoken word, and poetry and resulting in a public performance in collaboration with performers involved with the Dancing Through Prison Walls community, formerly incarcerated and “free world.”
